Monochrome Monday #7

A view from the Humane Society where my daughter volunteers. Way up on the hill is a Roman Catholic Parish. It was once used as a training grounds for candidates for the Catholic priesthood. It remains a center of religious education today. This is an aerial view (not my shot, from their website) to show you the full spectrum of the size of the building.

I love your monochrome shot. It has an almost mystical feel to it. Very atmospheric.

Certainly a peaceful place to receive a religious education.

It doesn't appear so large in your B&W picture.

This is no small building! Looks larger on their own website and more "menacing! in b & W.

I prefer your shot to the aerial one - it looks almost like a castle, perched up there on the hill!

Jeez, the place is huge! And the monochrome gives it a kind of creepy-haunted feel. Love it!

The building shows well in B&W. Like the old fence in the foreground.

Your picture works well in b&w and gives it a feeling like it was made 50 years ago.

Looks like you'd find a few ghosts in there. Nice shot.
