Camera Critters #1

Camera Critters

My first Camera Critters entry. Really, the only critter I take pictures of is our dog Nellie. She's a Border Collie mix and is about 8 1/2 yrs old. We got her from the Humane Society 8 years ago. I wanted a lap dog but there wasn't much to pick from. She was very sick when someone brought her in off the streets; worms, double ear infection and doggy lice. They were going to put her down but one of the workers begged to give her a chance. She had only been there a week when my daughter stuck her hand in the cage and Nellie licked her. There was no turning back, she was ours then. And when I sit on the couch, her head fits in my lap so I guess that counts ;-) You can see more critters of different types by clicking on the picture above.

She's a beautiful girl, and you tell a wonderful rescue tale. We had a German Shepherd mix when our kids were little. Similar story. She was very sick as a pup, and bigger than we had in mind, but too adorable to pass up. She turned out to be a fantastic kid dog.

Oh, she is a beauty! I'm so glad she found a nice home with you. She isn't exactly a lap dog, but I'm sure she tries to be!

Most of my camera critters are of my dogs or my rats. CC is a great way to show off your favorite pet pictures. -grin-

I played CC twice today at Rattitude and My Ordinary Things
